Occurrence records of rust fungi (Pucciniales) in Portugal
This dataset records the occurence of fungi belonging to the order Pucciniales in Portugal. These fungi occur in plants, causing diseases known as rusts. Most Pucciniales species have narrow ranges of host plants. The AssociatedTaxa DwC term name is therefore used to identify the plant species hosting each fungus.
Rust fungi can differentiate up to five different spore types, which are representative of the life stage their are in at each moment. The lifeStage DwC term name is therefore used to describe this.
